The primary requirement for each position at the Inn at Hershey Farm is a cheerful disposition and a helpful attitude. The work itself includes various tasks. Listed below are the required duties.
Reviewing any maintenance issues from previous night and alerting appropriate staff. Handling check-outs and any guests needs for the morning. Keeping lobby looking well-maintained, filling coffee & condiments, as needed. Taking phone reservations & entering online reservations. Verifying housekeepers on duty and seeing if any need to be called in. Washing, drying, and folding laundry. Stocking as time permits.
Handling guests checking-in. Attending to any needs of arriving guests (cots, cribs, fridges, etc…). Taking phone reservations & entering online reservations. Keeping lobby clean.
Running end of day reports and balancing daily cash sheet. Attending to needs of in-house guests (linens, cots, fridges, maintenance issues, wake-up calls). Checking-in late arrivals. Checking-out early departures. Mopping lobby floor and cleaning lobby, as needed. Preparing coffee in morning and opening lobby by 6:30am.
Clock-in between 8:45-9am on your scheduled day. Stock your cart with appropriate linens/supplies for the assigned rooms. Strip rooms of linens & give to laundry as soon as possible. Clean rooms according to how you were trained. Return fridges, cots, microwaves, cleaned & made up to the appropriate place. When finished, make sure your cart is stocked with supplies & neatly arranged for next day. Report any maintenance concerns to the front desk. Check with front desk to see if help is needed elsewhere.
